US Chargé d'Affaires Visits Lyford Cay International School

Newly appointed Chargé d’Affaires of the United States Embassy in Nassau, Ms Kimberly Furnish, recently visited Lyford Cay International School for an introductory meeting and tour.

During her visit to the school, Chargé Furnish met with new Head of School, Mr Audrius Barzdukas, and the school’s leadership team to discuss recent developments and the school’s longstanding relationship with the US Embassy in Nassau.

LCIS is the only US Embassy-endorsed school on the island of New Providence and enjoys a special relationship with the US Embassy community on the island. Chargé Furnish noted the importance of overseas schools to the quality of life of US embassy communities around the world.

She toured the Lower School campus within the gated community of Lyford Cay, enjoyed a special musical selection by the Lower School Choir and visited several classes.

She and her team then transitioned to the Upper School campus, where they met with student leaders and toured the state-of-the-art facilities.
