LCIS to Host KPMG Football Fest This Weekend
LCIS will host its 11th KPMG Football Fest this weekend from Friday 8 November to Saturday 9 November 2024. Teams from Cedar International School (British Virgin Islands), American International School of Kingston (Jamaica), Codrington School (Barbados), Cayman International School (Cayman Islands), Lucaya International School (Grand Bahama), St Andrew’s International School, Windsor School, and four teams from Lyford Cay International School will participate in this U14 tournament.
US Chargé d'Affaires Visits Lyford Cay International School
Newly appointed Chargé d’Affaires of the United States Embassy in Nassau, Ms Kimberly Furnish, recently visited Lyford Cay International School for an introductory meeting and tour.
During her visit to the school, Chargé Furnish met with new Head of School, Mr Audrius Barzdukas, and the school’s leadership team to discuss recent developments and the school’s longstanding relationship with US Embassy in Nassau.
LCIS Alums compete on Bahamas national football team
LCIS alums Luca Chiacchiari, Michael Massey, and Vance Wheaton were in the US Virgin Islands last month, as they represented The Bahamas in the CONCACAF Nations League 2024. The team drew against USVI 3-3 on Wednesday September 4th, and lost 3-2 to Barbados on Saturday, September 7th.
