Giving

Like most independent schools, LCIS relies on the philanthropic spirit of its community. Gifts to the LCIS Fund and Endowment support the implementation of the strategic vision and campus master plan.

THE COMMUNITY'S STRONG HISTORY OF GIVING has allowed LCIS to have a truly lasting impact on all of the students who have passed through the doors, and secures the same transformative experiences for those here now and those yet to come. Our community’s generosity ensures that numerous opportunities exist for students’ academic and personal growth on our expanding campus. Below are the ways your support can have a daily impact in making LCIS an excellent school.

LCIS FUND

Annual giving at LCIS supports innovative programmes, professional development for teachers and staff, the enhancement of our beautiful campuses, and scholarships that ensure more Bahamian children can access the transformative power of an LCIS education. The generosity of our community helps to enrich the quality of education in class every day. Our community invests an average of $1M per year in philanthropic support toward our mission.

ENDOWMENT

The LCIS Endowment has a long history of support from parents, alumni, neighbours, foundations and corporate partners. With over $3M invested, the fund supplements annual giving to make an LCIS education more accessible to a wide range of local families.

Making the decision to support the school has been easy, largely because LCIS is a not-for-profit organisation. The administration and board make decisions based solely on what is best for students, spending every dollar of tuition and donations for our children’s education. The school does not need to think about making money for shareholders. It does not have a single benefactor.
