university Preparation

Our students are prepared to engage in a college or university level education anywhere in the world.

THROUGH EXPOSURE TO THE INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE curriculum and a range of experiences outside the classroom, LCIS students have the personal, interpersonal and academic skills needed for success in a variety of settings.

The university experience begins early in the Upper School when our students enter our IB Middle Years Programme. Our IB education allows students to develop their passions and self advocacy skills. So our students are well-equipped to lead their own search process. Our counselling programme helps both our students and their families understand the requirements and options for post secondary study. We support the transition from high school by helping to find the best match in terms of academic profile, finances, career interest and happiness.
— Dr Michèle Mindorff, College/University Counselor

Our daughter’s continuing education would not have been possible without her success as an IB student. She got into university and we got the financial support we needed to send her away because of the quality education and reputation of LCIS.
— Alumni Parents
Universities prefer to admit students and award them scholarships because of the quality and relevance of an IB education. In fact, most universities offer advanced standing for students achieving a 5 or more on higher level courses. In addition, the real-world experience of the Career-related Programme is a big differentiator in the application process.
