LCIS Alums compete on Bahamas national football team

LCIS alums Luca Chiacchiari, Michael Massey, and Vance Wheaton were in the US Virgin Islands last month, as they represented The Bahamas in the CONCACAF Nations League 2024. The team drew against USVI 3-3 on Wednesday September 4th, and lost 3-2 to Barbados on Saturday, September 7th.

Michael Massey (Class of 2023) said, "My time at LCIS allowed me to discover a deep passion for the sport of football, helping me develop the skills that have allowed me to progress to The Bahamas Men's National Team. Furthermore, my experience as the captain of our BAISS and National Championship winning teams certainly helped me gain the confidence and impetus to keep improving."

These games represented the opening of the Bahamas' Nations League campaign. The Junkanoo Boyz will face the US Virgin Islands again on October 9, 2024, followed by a rematch against Barbados on October 15, 2024. Both matches will be critical as The Bahamas aims to advance in the competition.
